Look Away is sounding awesome!
Bill is on lead vocals, and Matt is doing all the mixing and production work.
Look Away is definitely one of our favorite songs to play, and we captured several alternate takes over the years…
We came up with Look Away during a particularly creative period between 12-22-99 and 1-6-00. Other cool songs on that CD were:
Christmas, 18 Somethin’ in Tennessee
An upbeat take of Baby, Baby… (see also – Baby, Baby (I Still Love You)
The OG first take of “I Like Potatoes” – with lyrics inspired by Tom’s bass effects – Matt said “It sounds like someone’s pullin’ potatoes!”
(We would later go on to drop the definitive take with Dale Belnap sitting in on a rockin’ honky tonk piano)
The infamous “Fart Song” – a sure fire hit with 12 year old boys…
